I live in Muscat, where the desert meets the sea — a city of white stone and sun, stretched along the turquoise waters of the Gulf of Oman. The mountains rise behind us like guardians, and the sea carries both trade and tradition to our shores. Oman is a land of beauty and stillness, yet beneath its calm surface, faith in Jesus must remain hidden.
Our government watches carefully, and the Sultan’s decrees have made life difficult for those who follow Christ. Believers are questioned, monitored, and sometimes punished for gathering. Still, we endure. We meet quietly in homes, whispering songs of worship and sharing Scripture with trembling hands. The risk is real, but so is His presence.
I think often of our nation’s history — once famed for metalwork and frankincense, treasures that were offered to kings long ago. In the same way, I believe we, the believers of Oman, are called to bring our offering to the King of Kings: steadfast faith, pure worship, and unity that refines us like iron. Though we are few, we are strong in Him. And as the fragrance of frankincense once filled royal courts, I pray the fragrance of Christ will one day fill every home in Oman.

Pray for secret gatherings across Muscat to be protected by God’s hand and strengthened by His Spirit. (Psalm 91:1–2)
Pray for new believers to grow in faith, unity, and wisdom as they sharpen one another like iron. (Proverbs 27:17)
Pray for hearts across Oman to be softened by dreams, visions, and encounters with the love of Jesus. (Joel 2:28)
Pray for the Church in Oman to rise as a fragrant offering — bringing glory to the King of Kings throughout the Arabian Peninsula. (2 Corinthians 2:14–15)
