MUNICH

GERMANY
Go Back

Germany, in the heart of Europe, has long been a birthplace of movements that shaped the world. From the printing press that spread knowledge, to the Reformation that reshaped faith, to the rise and fall of destructive ideologies like Nazism, Germany’s story has always carried global impact. It remains a nation of deep thought, creativity, and influence—a place where ideas become movements, and movements shape nations.

In the modern era, Germany has become both a refuge and a crossroads. In 2015, the nation opened its doors to over one million refugees, many entering through Munich, the capital of Bavaria and one of Europe’s great cities. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, hundreds of thousands more have arrived, seeking safety and a new beginning. The mix of cultures, languages, and faiths now woven into Germany’s cities has created both challenges and incredible opportunities for the Gospel.

As the German people wrestle with questions of identity, immigration, and unity, the Church in Germany has a moment of divine purpose—to welcome the sojourner, to disciple the seeker, and to send laborers into the harvest. Munich, a city known for precision, beauty, and progress, can once again become a city known for transformation—where the fire of the Reformation meets the compassion of Christ for every nation.
