The United Kingdom—comprising England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland—has profoundly shaped the modern world. From the Industrial Revolution to global advances in literature, science, and governance, its influence has been vast. Yet perhaps the UK’s most enduring legacy is the English language, now spoken in nearly every nation on earth, enabling the spread of the Gospel in ways unimaginable centuries ago.

At the heart of this island nation stands London, one of the world’s great cities—ancient, vibrant, and ever-changing. For centuries, it has been a center of innovation, finance, culture, and leadership. But in recent decades, the face of London has transformed dramatically. Despite tight immigration laws, the city has become home to a remarkable diversity of peoples—Vietnamese, Kurds, Somalis, Eritreans, Iraqis, Iranians, Brazilians, Colombians, and many more.

This convergence of nations has made London one of the most strategic cities for global missions. In its streets and neighborhoods, unreached people groups live side by side with the historic Church of England and new immigrant congregations. The nations have come to London—and with them, an unprecedented opportunity for the Gospel to go back out to the nations.

As the Church in the UK rediscovers its calling, London stands as both a mission field and a launching pad—a city poised to see revival and global impact once again.

• Pray for revival in the UK, that God would awaken His Church to return to its first love and rekindle the missionary spirit that once carried the Gospel around the world. (Revelation 2:4–5)

• Pray for the nations in London, that refugees, migrants, and immigrants would encounter Jesus through relationships, community ministries, and local believers. (Acts 17:26–27)

• Pray for unity among churches, that denominational and cultural barriers would fall as believers partner together to reach their city. (John 17:21)

• Pray for boldness among believers, that Christians would engage their workplaces, universities, and neighborhoods with wisdom, compassion, and truth. (Matthew 5:14–16)

• Pray for London to become a sending hub, mobilizing laborers, resources, and prayer to the unreached peoples of the world. (Isaiah 49:6)
