I walk the streets of Kolkata every day—a city that never stands still. Rickshaws rattle past trams, vendors shout over the noise of buses, and the smell of chai and fried snacks fills the air. Old colonial buildings lean beside bright temples and crowded slums, each one whispering stories of beauty and struggle. This city feels like a heartbeat—tired but strong, searching but alive.

As I move through the crowds, I see a deep hunger beneath the busyness—a longing for peace, meaning, and belonging. I hear it in the songs of street musicians, in the prayers murmured along the Hooghly River, and in the silence of those who have lost hope.

What weighs most on my heart are the children—sleeping under flyovers, gathering scraps near train stations, surviving one day at a time. Their eyes tell of pain, but also of possibility. I believe God sees them. And I believe He is moving here—softening hearts, stirring compassion, and calling His people to love this city as He does.

I am here as a follower of Jesus—to walk these same streets with His eyes, His hands, and His heart. My prayer is to see Kolkata transformed—not by power or programs, but by the love of Christ filling homes, healing divisions, and breathing new life into every neighborhood.
