PAKISTAN
Go Back

Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, rests near the border of India—a crossroads of history, culture, and faith. Our nation shares deep ties with Iran, Afghanistan, and India, reflecting a mosaic of traditions, languages, and peoples. Yet since gaining independence in 1947, Pakistan has struggled to find lasting political stability and unity.

Beneath its beauty and resilience, Pakistan carries immense pain. Over four million orphans call this nation home, and nearly 3.5 million Afghan refugees live within our borders, many fleeing conflict and loss. In cities like Karachi, Jesus followers face harsh persecution—discrimination, violence, and imprisonment for simply bearing His name.

Since peace talks between the government and terrorist factions collapsed in 2021, the attacks on believers have intensified. Yet, even in the midst of fear, the Church endures. Quietly, courageously, followers of Jesus continue to pray, to gather, and to love their neighbors—believing that no power of darkness can extinguish the light of Christ.

Now is the time for the global Body of Christ to stand with Pakistan in prayer—for the Gospel to advance across every unreached tribe, for hearts in Islamabad and beyond to be awakened, and for this land to know the peace that only Jesus can bring.

Prayer Emphasis

  • Pray for protection and perseverance for believers facing persecution, that they may stand firm and shine as lights in the darkness. (2 Corinthians 4:8–9)

  • Pray for the orphans and refugees—that they would encounter the love of the Father and find restoration through the care of His people. (Psalm 68:5–6)

  • Pray for peace in Pakistan, that cycles of violence and fear would be broken, and that the Prince of Peace would reign over the nation. (Isaiah 9:6–7)

  • Pray for revival in Islamabad, that leaders, scholars, and citizens alike would encounter Jesus and bring transformation to the nation’s heart. (Habakkuk 3:2)

  • Pray for the unreached tribes of Pakistan, that the Gospel would spread swiftly through divine appointments, dreams, and courageous witness. (Romans 10:14–15)
