France, a nation in northwestern Europe, has long stood as one of the world’s most influential powers—shaping global politics, art, philosophy, and culture. Once viewed as the western edge of the known world, France became a bridge between continents, later extending its influence through colonies that spanned the globe. This legacy has made France home to people from many backgrounds, including large communities from Africa, the Middle East, and Asia.

Today, France is also home to an estimated 5.7 million Muslims, making it one of the most religiously diverse countries in Europe. Nowhere is this diversity more visible than in Paris, the nation’s capital and beating heart. Nestled within the fertile Paris Basin, the city has long been a hub of thought, creativity, and progress. Its history as a center of art, fashion, literature, and intellectualism continues to shape modern culture. Yet, beneath the beauty of its boulevards and monuments lies a deep spiritual hunger—a longing for truth in a land where faith has often been replaced by secularism and skepticism.

Paris remains one of the most strategic cities in Europe for the Gospel. The nations have gathered here, creating a divine opportunity for the Church to rise with love and courage—to reach immigrants, artists, students, and families with the hope of Jesus. From the grand avenues to the crowded suburbs, God is calling His people to carry His light into every corner of this global city.

• Pray for spiritual awakening in France—that the Holy Spirit would breathe new life into a nation marked by skepticism and draw hearts back to Jesus. (Ezekiel 37:4–6)
